Ways to Give

We are grateful for your consideration of a year-end gift to support our school's mission.

2025 Year-End Giving Deadlines

To ensure your gift is processed for the 2025 tax year, St. Francis de Sales School and Foundation have specific deadlines depending on the type of donation. 

  • Cash by wire transfer: Initiate the wire transfer so the funds are deposited into a SFS bank account on or before December 31, 2025.  Call for details
     

  • Checks by mail: The envelope must be postmarked by December 31.
     

  • Credit cards: Make online gifts before midnight on December 31 here.
     

  • Securities (stocks and bonds): The transfer of securities must be completed by December 31. It is recommended to initiate the transfer at least two weeks in advance to allow for processing time.
     

  • Donor-advised fund (DAF): Advise your DAF provider to initiate the grant request to SFS by mid-December. This ensures the grant arrives before the December 31 deadline.  Confirm cut-off dates with your DAF administrator. 
     

  • Required Minimum Distribution (RDM): Advise your IRA administration to complete the grant request on or before December 31.  If the distribution to SFS is by check, the postmark date of the envelope containing the check will be the date of gift, not the date on the check.  If the transfer is sent to the Donor before being received by SFS, the date of gift will be the postmark date on the envelope containing the check to SFS.

Your support of the St. Francis de Sales High School Foundation allows for sustainability, growth, and excellence, impacting current and future generations of Knights.  A donation to the Foundation is a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits.  A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at St. Francis.  The remaining funds create a corpus to be invested in providing income in perpetuity.
