Summer REPs
(Review, Engage, and Prepare)
New this summer, our faculty will be offering classes to help new and current Knights engage with classmates and faculty, review topics, and prepare for the fall. These classes will be free for students. These are not required for your son, but they will help him remain sharp over the summer.
The first session will take place from June 15th - July 3rd. This session will be virtual and organized through Google Classroom.
The second session will take place from July 6th - July 24th. Given current guidelines, this session will have some offerings in person at SFS and others will be virtual. If the guidelines change, we will contact you.

Course: Oraciones de la Mañana en Español (WL11)

Description: Oraciones de la Mañana en Español or Morning Prayer in Spanish: Begin each weekday of Session I with 20 minutes of simple and easy prayer in Spanish. Inspired by the writings of St. Francis de Sales participants will have the opportunity to offer intentions, to thank God, to make resolutions and to dedicate his or her day to the glory of God and Eternal salvation.
The whole family is invited to participate in praying in Spanish. The daily sequences and vocabulary are designed to be simple and easy to remember. The content of each prayer session is derived by its participants. Personalization and repetition will reinforce your language skills. This class is sure to enrich your daily prayer life.

Description: Las Aventuras de Señora Fleck y su perrita Lily During session I, join Sra Fleck and her French Bulldog Lily traverse through life in a 55 minute class twice per week. Lily loves to play sports, get into trouble and surprise endings. In this class you will watch the shenanigans of Sra Fleck and Lily on their adventures while talking about it in Spanish. This class is fun for learners who don’t want to focus on grammar or write a lot. You will pick up new phrases and practice words of high frequency in all tenses. Expect to see a few run-ins with people and places you know.

Description: Conozca a tus Profesores Join Sra Fleck during Session II as she interviews some of St. Francis’ teachers, coaches or familiar faces in Spanish. Warning! You may have to help as your teachers and coaches try to pronounce and understand words as they try to answer questions in Spanish. Prior to each interview, you will be asked to predict how you think each teacher or coach will fare in Spanish. Watch to see if your predictions are correct! This class meets for 55 minutes on Google Hangouts and will take place twice per week from 10:05-11:00 am during session II.

Description: Oraciones de la Tarde en Español or Evening Prayer in Spanish: End each weekday of Session II with 20 minutes of simple and easy prayer in Spanish. The whole family is invited to participate in praying in Spanish. The daily sequences and vocabulary are designed to be simple and easy to remember. The content of each prayer session is derived by its participants. Personalization and repetition will reinforce your language skills. This class is sure to enrich your daily prayer life.

Description: Conozca a tus Profesores Join Sra Fleck during Session II as she interviews some of St. Francis’ teachers, coaches or familiar faces in Spanish. Warning!
