St. Francis de Sales School is the unequaled leader in Northwest Ohio prep athletics, with 29 state championships in seven sports, including football, basketball, hockey, tennis, wrestling, swimming and diving, and water polo. Knight graduates include collegiate, professional, and Olympic athletes, coaches, and administrators.
The St. Francis de Sales School athletic program has an expectation of academic excellence for our student-athletes and a successful tradition of league, district, regional, and state championships. Our athletic program provides our athletes the opportunity to compete, learn good sportsmanship, and achieve their individual goals.
We provide the facilities and dedicated
coaches for our athletes to develop to their maximum potential and benefit from their participation in our program.
Through goal setting, hard work, commitment, and teamwork our athletes will attain an educational experience that cannot be achieved in a traditional classroom setting.
The desire to win - exceptionally important to adolescent boys - is meaningless without direction. St. Francis positions physical growth within the Salesian context: humble confidence, authentic relationships, and service toward others are values that remain true in both victory and defeat.
