Counseling

Academic and Scheduling support

SFS counselors meet with students to discuss future plans and help schedule classes which help prepare students.  Counselors and teachers work together to help students with class placements to make sure they are challenged and supported.

Social and Emotional support

SFS is dedicated to the social and emotional well being of our students.  Our counselors create an inviting atmosphere and meet with students on a regular basis to help students who may be struggling.  SFS also has a psychologist which meets with students weekly.

College and Career Planning

SFS has a dedicated College and Career Counselor.  Although parents and students may not be thinking about college when entering 9th grade, we understand the need to be thinking about it.  Meeting with students early helps students understand what is needed while they are in high school.  Our Counselors are continually meeting with students to assist with every facet of preparing for life after St. Francis.

The St. Francis de Sales Counseling Department strives to uphold and support students to become academic, spiritual, and social leaders, through a comprehensive school counseling program that targets social/emotional, college and career readiness and academic success. We will uphold strong ethics and standards as we serve students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, through direct and indirect services, supported through data.
